For the more urban inclined, a tour around the city of Johannesburg offers much excitement and while not as revered a destination as its coastal counterparts, offers a myriad of cultural and scenic attractions.
Day One
Spend the morning at the Apartheid Museum and learn all about South Africa's torrid history with the knowledge that it had the happiest of endings. Next stop - Gold Reef City for an afternoon of heart-stopping excitement at the country's premier amusement park in a unique mine setting. Relax in the evening with a delicious dinner and night of entertainment in vibrant, cosmopolitan Newtown.
Day Two
Take a lively Soweto tour on day two and discover the hope and life that exists within this township. Next stop is the Rosebank Shopping Centre where you can spend hours perusing the shops and the indoor African craft market. Have dinner in the spectacular and luxurious Melrose Arch to end off your day.
Day Three
Head a little bit out of the city today and enjoy the beauty of the Cradle of Humankind. Meet four out of the big five in the Rhino and Lion Nature Reserve or experience an underground boat ride. The evening can encompass a night of glamour at Montecasino to end off your Jozi adventure.
