A Three Day Limpopo Safari
If you are the outdoorsy, nature loving type, then a quick trip around the Limpopo province is the ideal city break for you.
Day One:
From Johannesburg, take the N1 highway north to the birding paradise of Nylsvley. Here you can see an unbelievable variety of birds that will make you the envy of bird watchers the world over. Next, drive over to the Makapan Caves for an underground adventure. Spend the night in a Game Lodge in the Waterberg.
Day Two:
In the crisp morning on day two, head out for a game drive and see how many of the big five you can spot. Then move on to Mapungubwe, the Mountain of Mystique, which is a renowned World Heritage Site. This area is home to the 1st Iron Age Kingdom and is rich in history and natural beauty.
Day Three:
Next stop is the Kruger National Park through the Sagole Spa where you will be greeted by the world’s largest Baobab tree. Revel in rustic nature and have lunch at Makhoda Town before heading back to Johannesburg.
